The conference programme this year includes two optional pre-conference tours on Saturday 22 May. Tours are free of charge, and you can indicate your attendance when you complete your conference registration form. The first is an accessible tour of Auckland City Libraries’ central city libary’s largest public library:
Auckland City Libraries comprises the central city library and 16 community libraries. On this tour of the central city library you’ll get an overview of a busy metropolitan public library and its services, hear about the unique heritage holdings in the Auckland Research Centre and Sir George Grey Special Collections, and learn about the contribution of Auckland City Libraries to the Auckland City Council’s “Disability framework for action – towards a 100 per cent accessible Auckland.” Tour hosts will be happy to answer questions as you move around.
More information about the RNZFB tour and welcome function will be available soon.
