2012 Round Table AGM – Background information for Special Resolution

Background Information for the Special Resolution  on the Agenda for the 2012 Round Table AGM is now available for download.

A special information, question and answer session will be held for all members on Sunday 29 April just before the lunch break. This will be an ideal opportunity for any  questions to be asked before the AGM on Monday 30 April.

Delegate transport arrangements for 2012 Round Table Conference

The following transport arrangements have been made for transport between the Mercure Hotel and the Association for the Blind of WA Inc. (conference venue).

At times other than those listed below if a mini-bus is not parked outside the Association for the Blind WA or the Mercure and you require transport please phone 0417 101 418 and transport will be organised.

Saturday April 28

 9:30 – 10:15am Mini buses leaving Mercure for Association for Blind WA at approximately 15 – 20 minute intervals.

 12:30 – 2:00pm Mini bus shuttle to/from Mercure and Association for the Blind of WA on demand

 5:00 – 5:30pm Mini buses circulating between Mercure and Association for Blind WA

 7:00 – 7:45pm Mini buses leaving Association for Blind WA transporting delegates to Mercure

A mini bus will also be available to transport delegates back to the Mercure at the conclusion of the Blind Citizens WA Quiz Night.

Sunday April 29

 8:15 – 9:15am Mini buses leaving Mercure for Association for Blind WA at approximately 15 – 20 minute intervals.

 12:30 – 2:00pm Mini bus shuttle to / from Mercure and Association for the Blind of WA on demand

 5:15 – 6:00pm Mini buses leaving Association for Blind WA transporting delegates to Mercure

Monday April 30

Hosted by: WA Australian Braille Authority for the Round Table Attendees.

Preliminary Notice of Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Round Table on Information Access for People with Print Disabilities Inc will be held as follows:

Date: Monday, 30 April 2012
Time: 4:15 pm
Venue: Association for the Blind of WA Inc.
61 Kitchener Avenue
Victoria Park Western Australia

Would all members please note the following requirement for the Round Table AGM to proceed on Monday 30 April 2012, at 4:15pm, in Western Australia (as above).

1. Quorum
A quorum is required before the AGM can proceed. This means at least 50% of eligible voting members must be present in person at the AGM. Please refer to rule 26, parts (1) through to (4) of the Rules of Association of the Round Table on Information Access for People with Print Disabilities Incorporated.

2. Topics for Discussion
Any topics and general resolutions for discussion and voting that members wish to have addressed at the AGM, must be advised to the Executive Committee as soon as possible to enable all Round Table members to have this information at least 14 days prior to the AGM. Please refer to the Round Table Rules of Association.

3. Round Table Rules of Association
If required copies of the Rules of Association can be accessed on the member’s page of the Round Table web site or alternatively by contacting the Administrative Officer, Tammy Axelsen, admin@printdisability.org
